Subject: Employee Open Discussion
We are committed to open and
inclusive dialogue on all matters of importance to the future of this
institution. We believe that great
universities are built on good communications.
Recent assertions have been made in
letters and emails concerning our benefits and salaries. Some have used comparisons with UNM as a
basis for criticizing the institution. In an effort to afford employees and our
neighbors from the community the opportunity to discuss these and other issues,
please join us for an open discussion on Wednesday, August 3, from 4:30 p.m. to
6:00 p.m. in the Corbett Center Middle Ballroom. To view discussion online, please direct your
browser to http://video.nmsu.edu/live
.
Tim Nesbitt, Chair of the Advisory
Council on Administrative Policy (ACAP), will serve as moderator to facilitate
a respectful, participatory discussion.
The overarching objectives are to provide complete and factual
information as we seek to create a workplace that respects our outstanding
employees, provide an opportunity to ask questions, and advance our mission.
We hope to see you on August 3.
