International Alumni Scholarships
This is a competitive scholarship for international students admitted to an undergraduate or graduate program, and attending NMSU for the first time. The scholarship enables the recipient to pay in-state tuition and fees and provides a $100 per semester stipend for educational expenses.

For undergraduate students, eligibility is based on secondary school and/or postsecondary GPA and TOEFL score. For renewal each semester an undergraduate must complete 14 graded credit hours and maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA. The scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students for a maximum of eight semesters or until graduation, whichever comes first.

For graduate students, eligibility is based on bachelor’s and/or graduate level GPA and TOEFL score. For renewal each semester a graduate student must complete nine graded graduate level credit hours and maintain a 3.50 cumulative GPA. The scholarship is awarded to graduate students for a maximum of four semesters or until graduation, whichever comes first.

Due to the limited number of scholarships available to award each year, applicants are encouraged to apply early. Priority will be given to applications received by March 1st for Fall semester applicants and October 1st for Spring semester applicants. Applicants must be admitted to New Mexico State University and submit a scholarship application to International Programs.

International Peace Scholarship Fund

The International Peace Scholarship Fund was established to encourage peace and mutual understanding by assisting women from other countries to further their education in the U.S. and Canada, and then return home to their own countries to use their education.

Applicants must be women from countries other than the U.S. and Canada who are full-time graduate students with at least a full year of coursework remaining. Scholarship recipients must promise to return to their country within 90 days of completion of degree to pursue their professional career.

P.E.O. INTERNATIONAL PEACE SCHOLARSHIP FUND was established in 1949 to provide scholarships for international women students to pursue graduate study in the United States and Canada.
