Guaranteed Uptimes

VM, MVS, UNIX Systems, and the NETWORK Systems Monday-Friday

The outline below is the guaranteed up-time the systems will be available. Under normal conditions the systems are up 24 hours a day, 6 days a week.

Monday - Friday	the guaranteed uptime is from 07:00 to 24:00
Saturday	the guaranteed uptime is from 08:00 - 17:00
Sunday	the guaranteed uptime is from 07:00 - 24:00

SUBSYSTEMS under MVS Guaranteed Up-Time Monday - Friday

Guaranteed up-time for the production applications is listed below. These applications may be available at other times. At times, normal processing may require that access be restricted to selected offices.

Check this list when using PC applications that access mainframe or datawarehouse data such as Crystal Reports or Microsoft Access. Access to the data from these applications is guaranteed whenever the application that controls the data is guaranteed.

Any application may be scheduled up during non-guaranteed time, and the University Computer Center (formerly known as Production & Control or Production Operations) will try to accommodate and still meet the batch requirements. If the request causes overtime the requestor may be asked to pay for part or all of the overtime.
