Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Master’s preferred) and five years experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS-
-Knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) systems design
-Current NABCEP certification desirable.
-Experience working with electrical inspectors and knowledge of the National Electrical Code preferred.
-Ability to conduct public educational programs.
-Must be able to work independently and in a group environment.
-Establish and maintain effective working relationships with PV installers, inspectors, designer, scientists and other professionals
-Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communications.
-Basic computer skills; word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.
Examples of Duties: -Develop the skills and knowledge required to support the program manager with all aspects of codes and standards
-Participate as a member of various codes or standards making bodies in association with DOE Laboratories, National Fire Protection Association, Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (UL, ETL, CSA)
-Accurately interpret national codes and standards for PV installers, equipment manufacturers. Convey findings through formal and informal presentations
-Provide code training and outreach to PV stakeholders and professionals
-Research and write technical articles on PV and the National Electrical Code
-Within 3 years, assume a nationally prominent role in the development, coordination and dissemination of existing and new codes applicable to solar energy systems
