- Bear Mountain Lodge - Originally built as the Rocky Mountain Ranch

- Bishop's
Lodge - In August
of 1851, a Frenchman, Jean Baptiste Lamy, arrived in the New
Mexico Territory as the first Bishop of Santa Fe. He built a
private retreat; his chapel still stands today, now on the national
register of historic places and a popular wedding venue. Lamy's
hospitality was famous, and an invitation to visit his country
estate was an honor much sought after. The lodge has gone through
several prominent owners and has hosted business meetings since
1922, when the Hoover Commission negotiated the Colorado River

- Black Range Lodge -
Nestled in the foothills of the Gila National Forest, the Black
Range Lodge provides easy access to its 3 million acres of wild,
natural beauty. Built from the ruins of Pretty Sam's Casino and
the Monarch Saloon, the original construction of multi-layered
bricks dates back to the 1880s, when the lodge housed miners

- Carriage House Cottage - The
Carriage House Cottage is nestled behind the Abraham House, one
of Silver Citys premier historic homes, owned by the James
Reynolds family. The Carriage House was built around 1917 and
was, indeed, originally a carriage house with attached servants
quarters. The Carriage House was remodeled in 2000 as a retirement
cottage and is furnished with many family antiques and memorabilia.
Some elements of the original carriage house are still in evidence,

- Heritage Inn
- A warm and peaceful atmosphere is conveyed through the elegant

- La Fonda
- An authentic Santa Fe heirloom, the La Fonda hotel was one
of the first business in Santa Fe. Acquired by the Atchison,
Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad, and leased to Fred Harvey, the
hotel was a Harvey House, a renowned chain of fine hotels, from

- LaPosada - In 1882, a prosperous merchant named Abraham
Staab built his three-story brick mansion, in the French Second
Empire-style. Abraham and his wife, Julia, entertained Santa
Fe society in the grand residence decorated with the finest European
materials. Legend has it that Mrs. Staab loved her home so much
that she has never left it. In recent years, her alleged spirit
has been the subject of many ghost tours, an episode of Unsolved
Mysteries, and Weird Travels. The Staab House stands today in
the form of a bar where guests of La Posada enjoy cocktails and
light Southwestern fare. Some have even reported meeting the
grand lady. After an extensive renovation in the late 1990s that
included the construction of additional lodging, Avanyu Spa,
and the Conference Center, La Posada opened as a member of RockResorts.

- Plaza Hotel
- Built in 1882, the
historic Plaza Hotel has been dubbed the "Belle of the Southwest"
for its 19th century Victorian atmosphere in the historic town
of Las Vegas, the original Las Vegas. Today, the Plaza hotel

- Radium Hot Springs Inn - In the 1920s, the historic Radium Hot Springs
Inn was built with bathhouses connected to the wells. It attracted
many people who felt the water was beneficial for arthritis,
nerve problems and many other diseases. It flourished in that
capacity for almost 50 years, then served as a women's prison,
an art center and later a private residence. Today, due to restoration
efforts by owners Jeff Goacher and David Steen, it is a beautiful,
peaceful, bed and breakfast with fabulous tubs at 112 degree,

- St. James Hotel
- Henri Lambert, personal
chef to President Abraham Lincoln, established the saloon in
1872; by 1880 it had evolved into the St. James Hotel. For those
inclined to the paranormal, the hotel has a long history, even
right up to the present, of reported ghosts and supernatural
happenings. In spite of an occasional friendly visitation, the
list grows longer every day of happy, relaxed and rested folks
who will testify to the charm and hospitality of this way station

- Sueños Encantados B&B - Enjoy
the quiet and take a tour of the area which includes: the original
San Pablo Military Fort; the homestead of the Cebada family,

- Taos Inn
- The Historic Taos Inn,
made up of several adobe houses dated from the 1800's, is the

- Taveres Inn
- The Tavares Inn is
located on five acres in a rural area just a few miles south

- The Lodge at Cloudcroft - The Lodge provides an historical hotel setting
that is "charmed" with the ghost of Rebecca. Originally
built in 1899, a fire consumed the building in 1908. The Lodge,
as it is today, was built by 1911. Located in the mountain town
of Cloudcroft, The Lodge is committed to first-class service

- Val Verde Hotel - Built in 1915, the Val Verde is currently
(2005-2006) going through some major renovation to bring back
the elegance originally designed by noted architect Henry Trost.
Located between the Santa Fe Railroad Depot and the historic
Socorro Plaza, the hotel was once very popular with traveling
salesmen and visitors to town. According to many, it even has
a few ghosts! If you are in Socorro, you can view the place from
the beautiful courtyard, and if the new owner is there, you may
be able to see how the renovation is going. There is no renovation
completion date as of this printing. There are a lot of Web sites
about the hotel, especially about ghost (or orb) sightings. Do

- Wilderness
Lodge and Hot Springs
- Originally a school
house in Hurley, this 100-year-old lodge is a rustic bed and
breakfast with a two-bedroom suite and private bath, five bedrooms
