Live Performance

From melodramas, to dinner theaters, cowboy shows to symphonies, New Mexico is a very entertaining place. Check out some of the facilities that put on live performances around the year. For schedule information and detailed directions, click on their Web site links or call the number provided.

  • Albuquerque Little Theatre - Also featuring Children's Theatre. Located at 224 San Pasquale SW, Albuquerque, NM (505) 242-4750
  • Black Box Theatre - Located on the downtown mall and the home of the No Strings Theatre Company, BBT brings contemporary plays to the stage. 430 North Downtown Mall, Las Cruces, NM (505) 523-1223
  • Caprock Creek Ranch Adventures, Inc. The Caprock Creek families invite you to join them for a look at cowboy life on a working ranch. Breathtaking scenery and wildlife native to the area. Chuck wagon meals, "tall tales," horseshoes and good old country music. Try your hand at "ropin, hikin or cowchip throwin." Also, guided walks and leather tooling demonstrations. Special events available, Easter Sunrise Service, business retreats, family reunions, school field trips and even weddings. Join us for a great Western adventure.   • Cloudcroft Light Opera Company - Ever seen a melodrama? Well if not, Cloudcroft offers between four and six seasonal performances by the local theater group, the Cloudcroft Light Opera Company (CLOC). There is always a bad guy, a villain, and a good guy - the hero. Interactive audience participation needed to boo and hiss at the villain. Contact the chamber of commerce for schedule.   • Flickinger Center for Performing Arts - A facility that stimulates the growth and education of the Arts throughout the entire community. Wonderful, live performances of every venue. Visit their website to see the current performance schedule. 1110 New York Avenue, Alamogordo, NM (505) 437-2202
  • Flying J Ranch - Authentic chuck wagon dinner while being entertained by cowboy shoot 'em ups and the Flying J Wranglers Show. Open late May until Labor Day. Gates open at 6pm and dinner bell rings at 7:30pm. Hwy 48, Alto, NM (505) 336-4330
  • Hershel Zohn Theatre is home to the American Southwest Theatre Company, which produces about six plays each season. Located on the campus of New Mexico State University. Visit Web site for play listings, times and prices. Las Cruces, NM (505) 646-4515.
  • London Frontier Theatre Company - Founded in Utah in 1991, the LFTC is considered a "small house, experimental theatre at its best." London Frontier presents a variety of plays from original scripts, ensemble work, and adaptations of literary classics and contemporary writings, incorporating the areas vivid multi-cultural history to create exciting, entertaining theatre. Housed in historic Magdalena, the group of local actors create an all-original theatre adapted to a Western setting. Performances monthly. Visit the Web site or call Donna Todd for current shows.   • New Mexico Tech Performing Arts Series - Performances held at the 615-seat Macey Center feature traveling shows and artists, local performers, special events and more.
