Temporary NMSU Permit: NMSU employees can receive a temporary driving permit until the next scheduled class (make that selection below & provide mail stop code). The temporary permit may not be used to chauffeur other employees or students. The temporary will be sent by campus mail within 5 working days of review of driving record. (Note: In order to check driving history, we prefer not to provide temporary permits at EH&S office).

Driving history: For NMSU employees & volunteers, we review driving records before a permit is issued ( NMSU policy). EH&S can check driving records for New Mexico and most states (except California, Maryland, Pennsylvania & Washington) for an additional charge of $8-20 depending on state.  Options 1 & 2 (below) give EH&S permission to check your driving history and charge for the cost. Alternately you can provide your driving history from your state motor vehicle division (Option 3). For those with a California, Maryland, Pennsylvania, or Washington license, you must mark this option and obtain the report directly from your state.

Comments:

You must participate in the entire class to receive a certification of completion. Disruptive individuals may be dismissed from class. Individuals that fail to show without prior notification will forfeit the fee for the class.
