With strong emphases in acting, directing, technical theatre, and playwriting, the program prepares students for graduate study or to work in professional or educational theatre. Students gain practical experience in all phases of theatrical production. The faculty is augmented by nationally known theatre artists in residence. Students preparing to teach in the public schools may qualify for certification by completing the Bachelor of Science in Education degree with theatre arts as a teaching field.
