The Department of Economics in the College of Business Administration and Economics offers an economics major to Bachelor of Arts candidates in the College of Arts and Sciences. The study of economics can lead to career positions in economics and related managerial and technical specialties in businesses, financial institutions, government, and education. Qualified students are also prepared for graduate study in economics, business administration including management, and law. Students who plan to pursue graduate work in economics or to become professional economic analysts should consider taking supplementary courses in accounting, computer science, mathematics, quantitative economics and/or statistics, in addition to those listed below as required.

Twelve additional credits numbered 300 or above to bring total upper-division in major to 21.

Electives: Sufficient to bring total credits to 128, including 55 upper-division.
