DEGREE: Bachelor of Business Administration
MAJOR: Management
OPTION: Human Resources Management
OPTION: Managerial Leadership

The Department of Management invites you to consider a major in management. The mission of the department is to prepare graduates, with a Bachelor of Business Administration, for management careers in globally-oriented businesses that dominate the New Mexico and southwest manufacturing and service economy as well as management careers in national and international organizations.

The study of management offers the opportunity to develop skills in utilizing human, physical and economic resources to achieve organizational objectives. As institutional leaders of the future, students will acquire the skills and knowledge to develop their potential and to lead others in a common mission. Management graduates work in small and large agricultural, manufacturing, government, transportation, public utility, merchandising, health care, environmental, and communications organizations.

The core values of the Department of Management are respect for individual dignity, being able to dialogue to work through conflicts, and embracing diversity. Our vision is to teach students to experience dignity in their educational setting, to develop a dialogue for learning among fellow students and faculty, and to embrace diversity in their future work lives.
