Introduction:
Welcome to New Mexico State University. The following is an overview of benefits offered to regular employees (excluding New Mexico ERB Return to Work Retirees - please see section 7.27of the New Mexico State University Policy Manual for more details). Regular employees are encouraged to review the following materials within 30 calendar days of their date of regular employment. Most of the insurance plans offered at NMSU require employees enroll within their first 31 calendar days of regular employment to avoid late enrollment provisions. Employees also have the opportunity to attend a New Employee Orientation group session within 30 calendar days from their date of hire. These sessions are designed to be an overview of insurance coverage and benefits available at the university. These sessions are held every month. A listing of the dates and times for the sessions along with registration information may be found at the following link: New Employee Orientation Dates . Seating for these sessions are limited, and employees must register to attend the sessions prior to the date the session is held.
After you have reviewed the following information, you may obtain
enrollment materials by contacting your Human
Resources Liaison in your department/college within 30 calendar
days of regular employment. If you have any questions regarding the
completion of your enrollment materials Employee Benefits will be happy to assist
you.
On January 1, 2005, the university has transitioned to Banner. This system enables
the university to begin the transition of having one operating system on campus
for students, faculty and staff. More information regarding the project including
timetables for additional implementation may be found at ERP.nmsu.edu.
All employees are required to activate their global ID and passwords at my.nmsu.edu. By doing this employees will be able to review email, report their time and leave on-line review employment and benefit enrollment information on-line.
