NMSU Board of Regents to hold joint session with Las Cruces City Council

The Board of Regents of New Mexico State University will hold a joint meeting with the Las Cruces City Council at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27 in the Colfax Room of Corbett Center on the Las Cruces campus.

The purpose of the unique session is a discussion of the proposed plan to build a city center on the Las Cruces campus.

“No votes will be taken,” Board President M. Steven Anaya said. “This is an informative work session that will give us the opportunity to study the details of the proposed joint agreement concerning the development of a city center on campus. This also will give folks a chance to share their input on the proposal.”

The agenda includes discussion of the NMSU master plan followed by discussion of the proposed city center. A public input segment is scheduled as well.

A closed executive session is scheduled for 8 a.m. in the Curry Room of Corbett Center to discuss the leasing of real estate in accordance with section 10-15-1 H (8) of the New Mexico Open Meetings Act.
