Linking Students with Learning Opportunities CHSS Student Resource & Advising Center

The Student Resource & Advising Center for the College of Health & Social Services is located in the Health & Social Services Building, Room 326. Advising is available from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.

For those who are interested in Nursing, or Community Health majors, advisors are located in the Student Resource & Advising Center.

Advising for social work may be found in the School of Social Work, in Room 210 of the Health & Social Services Building and may be reached at 575-646-2143.

All students (new freshman or transfer students) who are interested in pursuing the Bachelor in Nursing (BSN), the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or the Bachelor of Community Health (BCH) are admitted to NMSU and the College of Health & Social Services as pre-majors (PNUR, PSWK, PCHL.).

Admission to each of our majors is competitive, requiring special applications (available from the pre-major advisors) and prescribed prerequisite course work.

Registered nurses (R.N.) who have an Associate Degree in Nursing and who would like to apply for the Bachelor Completion Program, should contact the NMSU School of Nursing directly at 575-646-5230.
