Research in the College of Health & Social Services Introduction to the CHSS Research Center
Students find a really, really great place to study.
The CHHSRC staff provides a wide range of services to and strives to be of assistance to CHSS PI’s and departmental/unit staff in every way possible.
Please note that the CHSSRC website cannot address all the individual funding agency nuances or ongoing changes in the funding environment. Changes in Sponsored Project Administration and University policies and procedures are on-going. The NMSU central Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR) is charged with keeping current with these changes. OVPR staff then disseminate relevant information to the various college research centers, including the CHSSRC. Our web site offers numerous useful links to the OVPR site with the most current information.
To get you started, we have provided a coding sheet form online so that you can provide initial information about the grant for which you are applying
Principal Investigators (PI’s) should work closely with their department/unit administrator and CHSSRC staff to understand each particular program announcement to which they are responding. PI’s are encouraged to visit the CHSSRC office and work with staff members though each step of the proposal process.
The CHSSRC welcomes questions from PI’s and encourages PI’s to call their department/unit administrator or the CHSSRC staff for assistance.
