HSS 318 (HS Classroom) Facility Information (Room capacity: 48 students)
When each clickable link is fully operational, each room's instructional media/equipment will be listed. Whenever possible, relevant documentation will be linked (either from the manufacturer's or publisher's source or local download). It is expected that the majority of manuals will be in Adobe Acrobat PDF format so please have the most up-to-date version available.
For a copy of the monthy room schedule, you may go to each room's page and click on the "PDF" icon toward the bottom of each page or you may click on the listing below.
What does HSS 318 have for instructor use?
HSS 318, on the third floor of the Health and Social Services Building, has seating for up to 48 students and is equipped with the following:
- An instructor station
- Gateway computer (ACN login for NMSU staff/faculty/students) with floppy drive, USB 2.0 ports and DVD/CD drive
- Toshiba VCR/DVD combo
- Infocus LP-840 Multimedia Projector
- Projection Screen
-
External connectors for (guest) laptop and Ethernet connection.
- Important note: A non-NMSU presenter who wishes to connect their system to the NMSU network will need the assistance of a knowledgeable staff member no less than 5 minutes before the connection is needed in order to authenticate the system; you may contact the MRC in HSS 326 [646-4388] to see if someone is available to facilitate this procedure.
- External multimedia speakers provide output from the computer and the computer-based DVD playback.
To see if HSS 318 is available (Web-based calendar)
- Click on the "question mark" next to the link above for instructions. The help file is provided in the Adobe Acrobat PDF format.
- The above links provides an up-to-the-minute view but only to read/view. If you wish to reserve a room, please note the following:
- Requests for HSS 202, 218, 219, 220, 226, 318 and 320 are processed by the Media & Resource Center using our standard form. After completing the form, a staff member will manually place it on the web-based calendar and will then send a confirmation note. This is not an automated process; the listing of your request that is shown when you "submit" your request is just that: a listing, not an actual confirmation.
- Additional notes and caveats are presented at the top of the Reservation Form page.
- To request the use of the "Health Science Conference Rm. HSS 318A", please click to send an email to the Department of Health Science.
- To request the use of the "Dean's Conference Room" (HSS 310J), the First Floor Memorial Tower Lounge, or the Memorial Tower Room 3rd Floor, please click to send an email to the Dean's Office.
