Finding A Place To Work Or To Meet Room Information and Scheduling (Online Form and PDF Calendars)

When each clickable link is fully operational, each room's instructional media/equipment will be listed. Whenever possible, relevant documentation will be linked (either from the manufacturer's or publisher's source or local download). It is expected that the majority of manuals will be in Adobe Acrobat PDF format so please have the most up-to-date version available.

Scheduling (or Reserving) A Room

To schedule an HSS room (either for the first time or to make a change to an existing reservation), please fill out our HSS Room Reservation Form. The MRC staff expects that you are taking into account the room schedule as it exists at the time you submit your request. Two weeks of current scheduling are posted outside of each room that is processed using the form.

If we find that the space you wish to use is not actually available, we will confirm, via email, that room's status and any alternatives that may exist.

Some spaces are not managed via the form and the Instructional Media Production Facilities:

• First floor Nursing Labs are scheduled through the School of of Nursing.
• Memorial Tower Lounge (HSS 117), the Dean's Conference Room (HSS 310J) and the 3rd Floor Tower Room (HSS 317) are scheduled through the CHSS Dean's Office.

Priority response: if you are a staff member, faculty member or designated student contact in the College of Health & Social Services, we will be able process your request as quickly as possible. If you are designated contact in the College of Education (during the O'Donnell Hall remodeling), we will process your request as quickly as possible. If you are from outside of the College of Health & Social Services and do not have a HSS-designated contact acting on your behalf, your request will be delayed so that we can ascertain the full nature of the request and its impact on our priority scheduling.

The above PDF links provide an up-to-the-minute view but only to read/view and only through the end of May 2008. If you wish to reserve a room, please note the following: Requests for HSS 202, 218, 219, 220, 226, 318 and 320 are processed by the Instructional Media Production Facility using our standard form. After completing the form, a staff member will manually place it on the web-based calendar and will then send a confirmation note. This is not an automated process; the listing of your request that is shown when you "submit" your request is just that: a listing, not an actual confirmation. Additional notes and caveats are presented at the top of the Reservation Form page. To request the use of the "Dean's Conference Room" (HSS 310J), the First Floor Memorial Tower Lounge, or the Memorial Tower Room 3rd Floor, please click to send an email to the Dean's Office.

Oral Examination Room Reservation

If you are an HSS Masters (Nursing and MPH) student who is completing their degree and will be participating in an oral examination or presentation as part of the degree completion (such as a thesis defense), please contact the Instructional Media Production Facility in person during business hours to find out what arrangements must be made to secure rooms and equipment. At the very least, complete the HSS Room Reservation Form and include your committee chair person in the "Other" field. Please do not wait to the last minute or assume that advisors and/or committee chairs will complete such arrangements on your behalf.
