Dr Christopher
Erickson has been on the faculty of the Department of Economics and
International Business at New Mexico State University since 1987. His main
research interest is financial institutions and he is the author or
co-author of numerous articles on financial economics, including a
supplemental money and banking text that was adopted on over 100
campuses.
Dr Erickson is a
frequent speaker on financial economics, macroeconomics and the border
economy. He serves as a consultant to the New Mexico Department of
Insurance. His primary teaching interest is money and banking and he has
won several teaching awards. Dr. Erickson was the original advisor for
Golden Key on the New Mexico State University campus. He received the
"Outstanding Advisor" award in 1993.
Dr Erickson
received his BA in economics from Willamette University and his Ph.D. in
economics from Arizona State University. He lives in Las Cruces, NM with
his wife Lisa and two children.
