Major Minority Grant Programs at NMSU
ENLACE’s main goal is to increase high school and university graduation rates among Hispanic students. It provides programs aimed to increase literacy and academic support. For more information contact Elisa Sanchez at (505) 646-7927.
2) AMP
The New Mexico Alliance for Minority Participation (New Mexico AMP) is designed to increase the enrollment and graduation rate of underrepresented ethnic minorities in science, mathematics, engineering and technology (SMET).
3) CAMP
RISE is the latest step in a decades-long effort at New Mexico State to increase the number of minority students earning advanced degrees in the life sciences.
5) MARC
Its goals are to increase the number and capabilities of scientists from underrepresented minority groups who are engaged in biomedical research
6) AGEP The New Mexico Alliance for graduateEducation and the Professoriate (NM-AGEP) is an aliance of the three New Mexico doctoral-granting insitutions - NM Tech, UNM, NMSU - That is funded by the National Science Foundation. The alliance is aimed at significantly increasing the number of underrepresented minorities who pursue doctoral degrees and plan to enter the professoriate in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
7) ADVANCE
It's purpose is to raise the number of women in tenure-track faculty positions in the sciences, math and engineering
