Traders Statue

The bronze statue in the Business Complex courtyard was created by NMSU alumnus Duke Sundt in 1988. It is titled Traders and depicts the birth of trade among the cultures of the region. Gathered together, the Indian, Hispanic and Anglo men are focused on items of trade -- skinning knives, Green River knives, and English and French tomahawk heads, spread out on a beaver skin on the ground.
