Wells Hall, built in 1978, houses the New Mexico Space Grant Consortium, the R.L. Golden Particle Astrophysics Lab, and several studios for graduate students in art. It also serves as warehouse space for several departments. Wells Hall is made up of six unconnected parallel hallways commonly called "Bay 1" through "Bay 6". The NM Space Grant Consortium is in Bay 4. The R.L. Golden Particle Astrophysics Lab (96) is located in Bay 6 of Wells Hall and in the tall building immediately adjacent.
