The Sundial

The chrome and steel sculpture in front of Hadley Hall on the Horseshoe is a large working sundial by Gerald E. Ohsfeld. Elsie Raye Rigney Carr and Dr. Jesse Lawrence Carr gave the piece to the university in 1974 in memory of Raye Hines Rigney, Class of 1911. To the left of the plaque there are directions for telling time using the sundial.
