
For close to six decades, the New Mexico State University Alumni Association has honored top graduates from across the university system based on their scholarship, leadership and participation in the life of the university and community. Many of these honorees have gone on to accomplish much in life.

J.B. Pruett earned a bachelors degree in animal science from NMSU and went on to work as a university faculty member, the vice president of a ranch and president of a construction company. Hes now retired and enjoys traveling with his wife.
Kim Walker
Elon, N.C.
College of Engineering
Neil Bromilow served 20 years as an engineer in the U.S. Navy after graduating with a bachelors in civil engineering from NMSU. He is now director of planning, design and construction at Elon University in North Carolina.
Tony Bennett
Farmington, N.M.
College of Agricultural, Consumer and
Environmental Sciences
Steve Neville earned dual bachelors degrees in animal science and agronomy as well as a masters in animal sciences from NMSU. He also minored in economics. He originally worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, but is now a real estate appraiser and a state senator.

College of Business/College of Arts and Science
Kelly Neville Heck received dual bachelors degrees from NMSU in international business and foreign languages. She also minored in international relations and Spanish. Shes now a practicing attorney.
Josh Bachman
Artesia, N.M.
New Mexico State University Carlsbad
Chelsea Bilberry studied nursing at NMSU Carlsbad, receiving an associates degree. She now works as an emergency room nurse at Carlsbad Medical Center and a nurse in the medical/surgical unit at Artesia General Hospital.
