Supplementary Major in Latin American Studies

Offered by the Department of Languages and Linguistics, this program consists of 24 credits drawn from the list below of which 18 credits must be numbered 300 or above.  In addition, students must satisfy the College of Arts and Sciences language requirment through  course work, proficiency examinations, or by taking three years of the same language in high school.  For more information go to: http://www.nmsu.edu/~langling/

Interdisciplinary Minor in United States/Mexico Border Studies

The Colleges of Arts & Sciences and Business Administration & Economics offer an Interdisciplinary Minor in United States/Mexico Border Studies.  This Minor  is designed to equip students with knowledge and skills regarding the US/Mexico Border that will assist in obtaining employment and pursuing other educational opportunities.  The head of the either the Department of Government or the Department of Economics may give certification of completion of the Minor.
