Lecture Series
Our Lecture Series Kick-Off held on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 12 noon went well. It was led by Dr. Spencer Herrera. The title of his lecture is "The Map to Cielito Lindo, or, Re-imagined Memory in The Three Burials of Meliquiades Estrada". It deals with the idea of memory for the Mexican immigrant and how he/she remembers home. It also examines how those people still living in Mexico rememeber, or forget, those who have left Mexico.
