Honoring Diversity – Academic and Leadership Stoles
Honoring the achievements of our diverse student populations at New Mexico State University is the driving force behind the Hispanic Faculty/Staff Caucus Academic and Leadership Stole. Honoring diversity through the use of graduation stoles is a tradition that was established in the spring of 2004.
The Academic and Leadership Stoles are awarded to graduating students who are either Latino/Latina, leaders in ethnic student organizations, have excelled academically, and/or have displayed exemplary leadership qualities on campus or in our community. For a student to be fully considered for this honor, a Nomination Form must be completed in full and submitted to the HFSC. Nominees will be notified via email if awarded an Academic and Leadership Stole.
