As the land-grant university of New Mexico, NMSU is home to a diverse population of the finest students, faculty, researchers, extension agents, staff, benefactors and friends.
So many good things--especially the people--attracted me to this beautiful place: the quality of our faculty and their dedication to excellence in teaching and research, the important and extensive reach of the land-grant mission in the state, the potential of creating a seamless relationship with our community colleges, the cultural diversity and beauty of the State of New Mexico, and the openness and dedication of the faculty and staff to building an excellent learning environment for our undergraduate and graduate students.
