UPDATE: EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEM TESTING – Fall Semester (as of Nov. 2005) A test of NMSU's Emergency Alert System (EAS) which now integrates components from both phone network notification system and computer based notifications is performed during the fall semester. One of the objectives is to familiarize the campus with different routes to obtain information in any type of crisis. In the event of an emergency, the Incident Command (IC) has the capability through Police Dispatch to quickly notify specific groups or buildings emergency information via a phone message.
