Current Projects:
I am currently working on a book called “Doctors and Other People: The Mystique of Healers and Healing”. I am also completing a CD-ROM on Social Problems. I am also working on a 2nd edition of “The Cultural Context of Health, Illness, and Medicine”, one of my published text books.

Recent Publications:

  • Three CD-ROMs for National Social Science Association Press: Aging in Society
  • Introduction to Multicultural Health Care; and Introduction to Medical and Health Care Ethics
  • I also have two text books from Greenwood Publishing Group: “The Cultural Context of Health, Illness, and Medicine” with Dr. Elisa J. Sobo, (1997) and “Life, Death, and In-Between on the U.S.-Mexico Border: Asi es la vida” (1999) with Mary Sanchez-Bane.
Dr. Loustaunau is also an active member in the National Social Science Association.
