| My work is about living life to its fullest. Although each piece has its own specific narrative, on the wholel my paintings chronical the joys and sorrows of being alive. The two pieces in this show represent the opposite ends of that continuum. Blue is about the challenging moments in life when the light at the end of the tunnel cannot yet be seen. Alternately, Love Letter to the Universe is about diving into the passions of life with the complete abandon I draw upon my own personal struggles and successes in selecting subject matter for a piece and I use my work as a way to inspire and motivate myself. In this way my paintings and my daily life are in constant dialogue, each informing the other. |
