To be considered for an exhibition, an artist or independent curator should submit 20 representative slides, visuals or a video; resume; catalogs; reviews; exhibition proposal; budget and other pertinent information. To have visual materials returned after selections are made, artists should include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
The University Art Gallery originates requests for proposed acquisitions to its collection based on current collecting priorities. Artists or collectors wishing to make outright donations to the Gallery should send similar information or slide of work to be donated, resume, reviews, invitations and catalogs of past work. A self-addressed, stamped envelope is required for return of visuals. Proposals of outright donations to the Gallery will be screened by the Gallery Director, John Lawson; visual materials of works recommended for the collection will be forwarded to the Acquisitions Committee for final approval.
