Information for Potential Transfer Students Choosing a Catalog

NMSU issues a new undergraduate catalog each year, and the degree requirements may vary from one year to the next. You may choose any catalog from the time you first entered any college or university through the current catalog, as long as it is not more than six years old at the time you graduate. Catalogs are in effect from the first summer session through the next spring semester. You do not need to have been enrolled for the catalog year you choose. For example, if you first entered college in 2003, attended one semester, dropped out and returned in 2005, you could use the 2004-05 catalog as long as you graduated by the spring of 2010.

When you enroll at NMSU, you can obtain a copy of the current catalog from the Office of Admissions. It is also available online. The STAR degree audit system includes requirements for all current catalog years. You can run STAR audits for various catalog years for which you ar eligible, and then decide which catalog you wish to follow.
