Information for Potential Transfer Students Introduction
If you're planning to transfer to NMSU (or any other college or university, for that matter!), the best advice we can give you is to plan ahead. If you have any questions about whether courses you have taken or plan to take will meet our requirements, please write, call, or send us an e-mail message and include the course description from your college catalog.
You must meet NMSU's basic skills requirements in English and mathematics, the university general education requirements and the College of Arts and Sciences core requirements. Having an associate degree from another university does not guarantee that you have met NMSU's requirements. Below are courses commonly offered at other colleges and universities that will help fulfill the NMSU and Arts and Sciences degree requirements.
