| To encourage public-private partnerships among border-area agencies and ensure our capacity to address the unique needs of the state's border region. |
The Border Breakfast activity began as an initiative of the Director of the Border Health Office as a vehicle for communication among border-area office directors and legislative staff.
The inaugural Border Breakfast was held on August 3, 1994 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Since then the participating members have met monthly alternating among the offices in assuming the lead in planning and facilitating the meeting.
We encourage other New Mexico border agencies to seek permanent membership in the Border Breakfast. Additionally, Guest Membership is available to out-of-state or other than border-specific agencies seeking regular participation in the activities of the Border Breakfast.
