Placement and Career Services
Placement and Career Services provides information and assistance in all areas of the job search-resumes, cover letters, interviewing skills and strategies for the search. They hold orientations and workshops and have reference materials available for your use. They also coordinate on-campus recruiting.

Work Study
The workstudy program is administered by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships to provide funding for student employment on campus. There are three categories: Federal, State, and Crimson Scholar. Workstudy is funded by federal, state, and/or institutional allocations and is awarded to students who qualify. The federal and state monies must be matched by employers. The current match is 70% (government) and 30% (employer), (50/50 for Crimson Scholar workstudy) and is subject to change due to federal requirements and/or availability of funds.
Federal workstudy students cannot be employed in an institution's profit-making activities. For example: An institution that rents an athletic field to a private agency such as a private sports club, cannot employ a federal workstudy student to sell tickets for the event. Also, federal workstudy employment in an institutional office coordinating rental of the athletic field would not be acceptable, since it involves administrative functions connected with the profit-making activities of the institution.
