Important Information For Freshman

Below are important dates and information for Freshman students.

Mentoring Program

Freshman Mentoring is a very special program designed to help incoming freshman "make the connection" to college. This initiative pairs you with a Faculty, Staff or Graduate Student who will help you make the transition into the college environment both in and out of the classroom.

The program is totally voluntary. We encourage ALL freshman to take advantage of the opportunity to have a mentor. Having a mentor in the first semester of school can be critical to your success in college by helping you to adjust to the climate and culture of the university quickly. It can also help smooth out the rough spots and give you that extra encouragement you may need to succeed.

Please call 646-4208 or email blackpro@nmsu.edu to enroll in this worthwhile program.
