The University Budget Committee (UBC) is advisory to the president. The committee shall participate in annual budget hearings and recommend general funding priorities for the consideration of the President. The committee also may make recommendations pertaining to the budget process. The committee will annually receive a briefing on the budget from the Senior Vice President for Administration and Finance. Faculty, staff and student representatives will provide reports on committee actions to their respective organizations.
Two Faculty Senate representatives will be elected by the Faculty Senate each April for two-year staggered terms, each term beginning the day following the last official day of the spring semester and ending on the last official day of a spring semester.
The NMSU Employee Council representative will be elected by the council for a two-year term, each term beginning the day following the last official day of a spring semester and ending on the last official day of the spring semester.
The Director of the University Budget Office will provide staff support for the committee.
