Welcome to New Mexico State University's Counseling & Educational Psychology
Department website. It is intended to provide information for prospective students,
current and returning students, and other interested parties.

The department of Counseling & Educational Psychology provides education designed to
prepare professionals in the fields of professional counseling, school counseling, and
counseling psychology. It is intended that students will emerge from the department's
educational programs with the professional competencies and skills that will enable them
to work effectively with diverse populations, in a variety of community and educational
settings. This is accomplished by advancing an understanding of human behavior and
experience through teaching, research, and service.
