Our Offices
Counseling and Student Development is comprised of several offices with a variety of functions.
Counseling Center- Licensed counselors and psychologists provide career and personal counseling on an appointment and emergency walk-in basis to enrolled students.
Career Exploration Center- an office where students can get help with career planning, find information on careers and NMSU majors, take interest assessments, and get career counseling.
Testing Center - administers and provides information for various standardized tests, including many college admissions tests (GRE, MCAT, GMAT); the CLEP and the GED.
Veterans Programs - the liaison between the NMSU student and the Veterans Administration Regional Office. Our office accepts and submits applications for approval of benefits, certifies students are taking required courses, and ensure files are within VA regulations.
Services for Students with Disabilities- offers a variety of services to students with documented physical, learning, or psychological disabilities.
WAVE Program - The Wellness, Alcohol and Violence Education Program (WAVE) is a harm reduction program which educates the campus community on issues of personal safety and well-being.
