Our Offices

Counseling and Student Development is comprised of several offices with a variety of functions.

  • Counseling Center - Licensed counselors and psychologists provide career and personal counseling on an appointment and emergency walk-in basis to enrolled students.
  • Career Exploration Center - an office where students can get help with career planning, find information on careers and NMSU majors, take interest assessments, and get career counseling.
  • Social Work Services for Students - provides students with information about on and off-campus resources related to basic needs such as food, shelter, or health care, as well as needs related to finding childcare, financial assistance, counseling, or legal aid.
  • WAVE Program - The Wellness, Alcohol and Violence Education Program (WAVE) is a harm reduction program which educates the campus community on issues of personal safety and well-being.
