The spring semester of this year was, in many ways, a time of relaxation for the new chapter. The Spring Semester began with the initiation of 14 members of the Iota Class, followed approximately six weeks later by the initiation of 3 more Iota members. Spring recruitment brought in two associate members to form the Kappa Class, one of which was later initiated. Relations with sororities were further improved during the spring, leading to the arrangement of joint participation in the following Fall's homecoming with Delta Zeta. The chapter's performance in Greek Week was the best ever, with the chapter finishing third in Greek Sing, and third among fraternities overall for the week.

Great progress in terms of finding a permanent residence for the chapter was also made during this semester. Finally, on July 7, 1999, the New Mexico State Chapter of The Delta Chi Fraternity had its first chapter house, located at 1250 Plain St. Renovations on the house (occupied by Theta Chi several years earlier) began immediately. The downstairs area, now displaying the coat-of-arms on the wall, was originally a bedroom, and converted to a common area during this time.

Social events for the semester included the 3rd Annual Disco Inferno date party, as well as Spring Formal. 1999's Region II Leadership Conference was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, and hosted by the members of the UNLV Chapter. Approximately 17 members of the New Mexico State Chapter attended the conference, whose total attendance was near 300. During the conference, the chapter also brought Dewey, a traveling friend of Region II, into its possession. Dewey was later given to members of the Northern Arizona Chapter when they visited in April of 2000. Brother Aaron Srsen (Gamma Class) graduated.
