The beginning of the Spring 2000 semester brought the chapter 11 associate members; the Mu Class was the largest spring associate member class in the history of Delta Chi at NMSU. John Holland (NMSU '99, Alumni Initiate) was also elected "BB" at the beginning of the semester.

Greek Week 2000 saw Delta Chi finish second in Greek Games, winning two events outright, as well as finishing third in Greek Sing. The chapter narrowly missed a top 3 placing for the week overall, missing a 3rd place ranking by only four points. Social events for the semester included a Mardi Gras social with Chi Omega, a mixer with Pi Beta Phi, the 4th Annual Disco Inferno date party and Spring Formal. The Region II Leadership Conference was held in San Francisco, California, and hosted by the members of the Hayward Chapter with 3 members from NMSU attending.

At the end of the semester, Delta Chi was recognized as the most award winning fraternity on campus. The chapter won awards for best Inter-Greek Relations, Most Improved Fraternity, and Outstanding Senior (Jeff McAdoo, Fall 2000). Several individual members of the fraternity were also recognized for their involvement in, and dedication to the Greek Community. Brian Kelley (Spring 2002) was the President of the Semester. Brothers Jeff Field (Gamma Class), Carlos Manzanares (Eta Class), Matt McCormick (Gamma Class), and Josh Rezac (Beta Class) graduated.
