Recruitment in the fall of 2000 brought in 17 associate members of the Nu Class. Delta Chi was at the highest point it had ever been in terms of prestige on campus, widely regarded as one of the top three fraternities on campus. The chapter teamed up with the Aggie Softball team for Homecoming, decorating the Homecoming float in a Hollywood theme.

This semester also saw the chapter heavily committed to community service. Members participated in a River clean-up, joint community service with the women of Zeta Tau Alpha at a local battered women's shelter, clean up of the one-mile stretch of I-25 sponsored by Delta Chi. Community service involvement for the semester also included a joint event by the associate members of Delta Chi and Zeta Tau Alpha traveling for a "senior prom" at a geriatric home in El Paso.

Social events for the semester included a football pre-game mixer with the women of Chi Omega, an "Angels and Devils" social with the women of Pi Beta Phi, a "Cops and Robbers" date party and Fall Formal. Brothers Jeff McAdoo (Zeta Class), and Brian Nordquist (Beta Class) graduated.
