The New Mexico St. chapter of the Delta Chi Fraternity is sincerely interested in finding quality men who will uphold
our traditions, ideals and the pride we hold in our fraternity. The men of
the NMSU chapter of the Delta Chi Fraternity are men of strict integrity. We
understand the importance of academics and appreciate the value of education
beyond the classroom. The men of Delta Chi believe strongly in the words
of the Delta Chi Preamble that states:
...great advantages are to be derived from a brotherhood of
college and university men, appreciating that close association may promote
friendship, development character, advance justice and assist in the
acquisition of a sound education .
We are constantly looking for men who possess the qualities that we believe
will help in carrying on the traditions and honor of The Delta Chi
Fraternity.
Delta Chi was founded as a law fraternity on October 13th, 1890. Since 1890,
Delta Chi has had an immense impact not only on its own members, but also on
the fraternity system as it is known today. In 1922, Delta Chi became a
general fraternity, beginning its progression towards revolutionary
fraternity contributions. Delta Chi's contributions include being the first
fraternity to abolish hazing, creation of the Delta Chi Educational
Foundation, membership in the FIPG (Fraternity Insurance Purchasing Group),
and countless other offerings that have been included in membership since
its inception. Delta Chi prides itself on excellence through diversity. An
associate in Delta Chi has the opportunity to have an impact not only on the
current chapter, but also on the future of Delta Chi at NMSU.
We field winning teams in several intramural sports. A Delta Chi can
additionally count on social events including date parties, tailgates,
brotherhood events, and other activities that help make fraternity life
enjoyable. In the fall of 2001 Delta Chi will be participating in Homecoming
with the ladies of the Chi Omega Sorority. We offer a commitment to
academics, a passion for athletics, an active social life and service to
others. Most importantly, our fraternity offers brotherhood that produces
friendships that last a lifetime.
You may know some famous Delta Chi's: Actor Kevin Costner, Actor Ashton
Kutcher, Thomas Glasgow former COO for McDonald's, Benjamin Harrison former
President of the United States, Pat Gillick GM for the Seattle Mariners,
Sean Salsbury ESPN Analyst and former San Diego Chargers QB, Nolan Harrison
defensive lineman for the Washington Redskins, Ron Mix NFL
Hall of Famer, Space
shuttle commander Henry Hartsfield and Senator Richard Shelby of Alabama to
name a few.

When you are faced with the important decision on whether to join a
