ROSWELL CALF ROPER TO RECEIVE
BUD EPPERS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Corn is Ranked Fifth in the Nation in Calf Roping
LAS CRUCES New Mexico Secretary of Agriculture, Frank A. DuBois, has selected Jarret T.
Corn, a senior from Roswell, New Mexico, as a recipient of the Bud Eppers Memorial Scholarship for the academic year 2002-2003. “Jarret has performed well last season and certainly deserves this scholarship for his tremendous efforts,” says Secretary DuBois. “I want to thank the committee for selecting me for the scholarship. It’s greatly appreciated,” says Corn.
Corn attends New Mexico State University (NMSU) and is majoring Agricultural Business. He qualified for the Collegiate National Finals Rodeo in 2002 where he placed fifth in the nation in calf roping.
While attending Goddard High School in Roswell, Corn was the New Mexico High School Rodeo Association Reserve Champion Calf Roper.
Corn’s parents are Royce and Kathy Griggs of Roswell, New Mexico. He has a younger sister named Stephani.
