Sustainability & Climate Change Task Force

NMSU SCCTF Duties and Goals

In accordance with this commitment the primary goal of the Sustainability and Climate Change Task Force is to act as the principal body in charge of developing the University’s policies and procedures regarding climate neutrality. The task force consists of members from all levels of university involvement including Dean Robert Moulton of the College of Education, Senior Vice President Ben Woods, faculty and staff from various departments, representatives from ASNMSU, and members of the student body.

The task force has identified several areas in which NMSU can make changes that will positively impact our environment. These include campus energy usage, transportation for NMSU faculty/staff and students, building renovations and projects, campus grounds maintenance, recycling, and student involvement. Of course, this is not a complete list of all of the ways in which we can make a positive impact and we encourage everyone in the NMSU community to send us comments regarding our current projects or suggestions for future projects or topics of discussion.
