Welcome to the English Department at New Mexico State University. We provide specialized study in Literature, Rhetoric and Professional Communication, and Creative Writing. We have award-winning faculty who are dedicated to maintaining a friendly and stimulating intellectual environment. We offer small classes that encourage active and meaningful participation for all students.
We offer the following degrees:
- a Doctorate in Rhetoric and Professional Communication
- a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing in Fiction and Poetry
