Page Information

I wrote this web page as a graduate student requirement for GEOG 553 at New Mexico State University located in Las Cruces New Mexico.

The topic of debris flows is related to my Graduate Thesis. My thesis specifically concentrates on a debris flow that occurred in August of 1991. The thesis will not go into the descriptive details on how the debris flow occurred, instead see Heckman's Thesis. It does go into detail on how the use of dendrochronology might be used to date the trees of the Anvil Creek basin to see if there are climate indicators on when other debris flows may have occurred. It is also possible to date geomorphic events, such as debris flows, by using dendrochronology and gain a possible interval of debris flows within the same region.

All of the images for this web site were taken by myself using an Olympus D460Z digital camera.

Thank you for looking at my web page. I hope that you enjoyed it.
