| RESEARCH INTERESTS:
- Remote sensing, GIS, use of unmanned aerial vehicles for
rangeland monitoring, landscape ecology, rangeland ecology/management/modeling,
human impacts on ecological pattern and process

| CURRENT AND PAST RESEARCH PROJECTS:
- Develop workflow for acquisition, processing and analysis
of very high-resolution images acquired with unmanned aerial
vehicles (UAVs).
- Rangeland remote sensing research with high-resolution
satellite imagery and aerial photography for mapping vegetation
in arid ecosystems at multiple scales.
- Remote sensing procedures for scaling rangeland monitoring
from plot to landscape level scale.
- Develop object-oriented, hierarchical image analysis techniques
for mapping rangeland vegetation.
