Research Interests
Dr. Fuentes's main areas of interest are in public administration, public policy and quantitative research methods. She is particularly interested in state level policy making, regional public organizations, transportation policy, economic development policy and public partnerships.
Publications, Awards and Grants
Dr. Fuentes was selected to write a critical essay for the ASHE/Lumina Policy Briefs and Critical Essays Series. http://www.elps.hs.iastate.edu/ASHE-Lumina/policy_briefs.php The working title of the essay is: Are higher education partnerships serving the public interest or channeling public funding towards economic development in an era of entrepreneurialism? She was selected to participate in the Spencer Fellowship Competition at Arizona State University. She was selected as a recipient of the 2005 Association for the Study of Higher Education/Lumina Foundation Fellowship Program. http://www.ashe.ws/?page=287
Courses Taught
Dr. Fuentes teaches courses in public administration. She has taught Introduction to Public Administration, Seminar in Public Administration, Ethics, Latinos, Politics and Public Policy, Issues in Public Policy, Political Economy and Research Methods Government.
