REGISTRATION PROCEDURES FOR ONLINE CLASSES

EFFECTIVE BEGINNING SPRING SEMESTER, 2010

In order to provide priority for Online MPH students and prevent over enrollment in Online courses, a new procedure for registration will be used next semester, only for Online courses. The steps for this procedure are:

1.       All Online MPH courses will be assigned a zero maximum enrollment capacity.

2.       Faculty will be provided with a complete list of all official Online MPH students.

3.       Online students will be required to e-mail the course instructor, and copy their advisor, requesting entry to the closed course.  In this e-mail, each student must include his/her Banner ID #.

4.       Instructors then go into myNMSU and do a Registration Override for the student, allowing the student to register for the closed class on-line as they would normally do.

5.       On-campus students may request enrollment in online courses via email to their instructor with a copy to their advisor.  Any special circumstances should be noted. These requests will be approved on a space available, first come basis at the discretion of the instructor.
